Sludgie the Whale was a baby whale that accidentally swam into the canal and a kind mascot for the canal. We created the Sludgie the Whale Scavanger Hunt in his honor. By going on the hunt you learn about the canal, why it’s so dirty, hoe they are cleaning up, and about the animals and plants that live here despite it being so dirty. The map was complimented with a button and a sticker. Original Sludgie drawing by Chloe Beck.

A glow in the dark pin that renders a print by artist George Horner and Miguel Ayuso. Black Mayo is the official term for the 20 feet of toxic sludge at the bottom of the canal.

Cora Cohan Website

An artist with a long career needed a way to get a quick overview and impression of her vast oeuvre. Keep in line with the artists approach we separated the site content into “images” and “text.” A timeless responsive html website that I still enjoy looking at.

A website that serves as a archive for editor Sarah Crichton’s long career in the publishing world. It needed to give easy access to over 80 publications with all the relevant information, while at the same time emphasizing particular periods and books, and that lets the beautiful book covers shine.
